Emerging Illinois Playwrights Project |
For the second year, our Emerging Illinois Playwrights project provides Illinois playwrights (new and experienced) a chance to share their original plays with residents of Central Illinois. Heartland Theatre Company recruited new, never produced one-act plays from Illinois writers. The project encompasses a state-wide playwriting competition, residency of Jeffrey Sweet, a nationally known playwright and staged readings of three finalists.
